Richard Reynolds

Senior Director | CVA, MAFF

Richard has extensive experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, and expert witness testimony. He works with clients across the U.S., including privately held businesses, law firms, and financial institutions. His expertise spans valuations for financial reporting, litigation support, estate and gift tax compliance, and transaction advisory.

He has a deep understanding of fair value accounting (FASB ASC 718, 505-50, 350, and 805), fair market value analyses (IRC §409A and estate planning), and business transition strategies, including the transfer of personal goodwill. His work frequently supports high-stakes litigation and complex financial disputes, including marital dissolution, lost profits, economic damages, and intellectual property matters.

Richard is also an active speaker and thought leader in the valuation community, regularly discussing emerging challenges in professional services, the impact of AI on accounting and law, and best practices in forensic accounting.

 He holds an MSc in Finance from Waseda University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Oregon. Richard is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), both conferred by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
